Kintore

Kintore Community Group

The Kintore community group is made up of people who live in and around Kintore. We are a diverse group of different ages, stages, backgrounds and experiences with a shared love of God and concern for our local community. We aim to have fun, fellowship and build faith in a family-friendly way. We are learning as a group how to care for and support each other through the ups and downs of life. We believe that everyone, from the youngest to the eldest, is valuable, precious and has something to contribute. We aim to focus less on how to ‘do church’ and more on what it means to be a follower of Jesus. Jesus has given us all an invitation: ‘Follow Me’. This does not mean we enter into a relationship with God on our own. It means we become part of a shared community.

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” (John 13.34)

As a group, we try to put this bible verse into practise. gariochchurch has a saying; ‘small is beautiful’. Meeting in a small group allows us to get to know each other pretty well. There is a real sense of family and belonging. Our relationships grow as a community as our relationships with God deepen too.

We meet formally together on Sundays and Thursday evenings. At other times, we get together more informally for coffee, picnics, a pint, a meal, bike rides, whatever people enjoy doing.

Monthly format:

  • 1st Sunday: @central, 3.30pm, Harlaw Centre, Inverurie
  • 2nd Sunday: @home, 3.30pm, various homes
  • 3rd Sunday: storyspace, 2pm, Kintore Village Hall
  • 4th Sunday: @community, 3.30pm, Kintore Village Hall
  • Thursday evenings: @midweek, 7.30pm, various homes

@midweeks are specifically for adults. This is a great opportunity for the adults to learn from and with each other on a deeper level. There is space and peace to pray, look at the Bible, discuss, talk about our lives and to listen to God.

Keep an eye on our activities page or contact us in case of occasional venue and time changes. Check out our Gallery to see the sorts of things we get up to.
